HistoryThe ERPM was formed by the Westville Ratepayers Association in June 2023 and was the result of a frustrated grouping of Ratepayers Associations who had been consistently engaging the eThekwini Municipality to seek remedy to the failing infrastructure in our city. The repeated engagements with the city proved to be fruitless and despite several futile discussions and desperate requests to be heard in a meaningful way, the need arose for a collective umbrella body to emerge in our city to speak in one apolitical voice against a city administration that has practiced overreach for too long. |

Our VisonRatepayers across eThekwini have the choice to direct membership with the ERPM or to work with us via an affiliated civic body or Ratepayers Association in their area. Our MissionThe vision of the eThekwini Ratepayers Protest Movement (ERPM) is to be the umbrella body for any individual ratepayer, ratepayers’ associations and civic bodies that fall within the boundaries of Ethekwini. |
